The Ideal Is The Form

Śrīla Bhakti Siddhānta Saraswatī Ṭhākur describes the spiritual structure of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭh.

Translated from a Bengali quotation
published in Śrī Gauḍīya Darśan,
Volume 1, Issue 10,
on Thursday, 10 May 1956.

Wherever the pure current following Śrī Rūpa flows, the current of Śrī Bhakti Vinod shines; wherever the flood of eternal glorification of the deception-destroying Absolute Truth flows, there alone is Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭh. Moreover, the residents of Śrī Gauḍīya Maṭh are only those who at all times, in all respects, and with all their senses, uncovered by selfish desires (anyābhilāṣ), renunciation (jñān), and exploitation (karma), glorify the deception-destroying Absolute Truth. Wherever there is no similarity with this Gauḍīya Māth, there, because deception has entered in one way or another, there is certainly no connection whatsoever with the pure Gauḍīya Maṭh.
